VISITORS

We welcome visitors to come worship with us. Click here for driving directions.

What to expect when you visit
You will be greeted in a friendly manner by one or more of our members so that we can get to know you. Before we begin our devotion, one of the congregation's elders will make some announcements of interest to the members. Then, we typically begin our worship by a reading from the Bible. Next, we sing together and pray together for a short period of time. Every Sunday we take the Lord's Supper which consists of unleavened bread and grape juice. We take part in these symbols in order to remember Jesus' sacrifice for us nearly 2000 years ago. Following the commemoration, the members of the Walnut Street church have an opportunity to give a free-will offering to support the Lord's work. Visitors are not expected to participate in the offering in any way. After the offering is complete, we sing together and pray together for another short period of time. Next, you can expect to hear a Bible-based message intended to encourage us to serve God. Following the sermon, we will sing another song together. The worship service will end following some closing comments and a prayer.

In addition to our worship services, we offer Bible classes for all ages on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

We will:

  • Remember Christ's death every Sunday
  • Sing, pray and study the Bible together
  • Reflect on our lives in light of God's word
  • Be open and friendly

We will not:

  • Embarrass you
  • Demand your money
  • Ignore you
  • Insult your intelligence

Please contact us if you have any questions.
